Park Si Hoo not appearing in “Golden Cross” because “impossible to coordinate schedule”
Park Si Hoo starring in the KBS2 drama “Golden cross” has not been finalized. The drama producers and the agency said: “Casting has not been decided when the story broke,” and clarified: “Park Si Hoo will not appear in ‘Golden Cross’.”
A member of the production team told enews on the morning of February 28: “It is true that there has been discussion about ‘Golden Cross’. But there is no definitive decision and casting-related discussions are divided, and then the news reports already came out, for which we are very sorry.”
Originally Park Si Hoo did receive an offer and was seriously reviewing it, but from March he will be involved in the promotion of the film “Scent” in the People’s Republic of China and advertising photo shoots are planned for China and Japan, so it is not easy to co-ordinate with the schedule of “Golden Cross” which starts broadcasting in April. Finally on the night of February 27 it was decided not to appear in “Golden Cross”.
In particular, in addition to “Golden Cross”, Park Si Hoo has received many “love calls” to appear in films and dramas, and is carefully gauging the situation. And then all those news reports appeared which complicated the situation.

박시후가 KBS2 새 수목드라마 ‘골든크로스’에 출연한다는 설에 대해, 드라마 제작사와 소속사가 “애초부터 캐스팅이 확정되지 않은 상태에서 기사가 앞서 나간 것”이라며 “박시후는 ‘골든크로스’에 출연하지 않는다”라고 밝혔다.
‘골든크로스’의 한 제작진은 28일 오전 “드라마 출연을 놓고 검토와 논의가 진행됐던 것은 사실이다. 하지만 ‘캐스팅 확정’과 관련된 그 어떤 대화도 나눈 적이 없는데, 마치 이미 확정된 것처럼 기사가 나가서 매우 유감스럽다”라고 밝혔다.
당초 박시후는 제작진으로부터 출연 제안을 받고 진지하게 검토했으나, 3월부터 중국 영화 ‘향기’ 관련 프로모션 일정이 많고 중국 일본에서 광고 촬영 등이 예정돼 있어서 4월 방송 예정인 ‘골든크로스’와 스케줄 조율이 쉽지 않았다. 그리고 27일 밤 최종적으로 출연하지 않는 것으로 결정했다.
특히 박시후는 ‘골든크로스’ 외에도 여러 영화와 드라마 러브콜이 많았지만 신중을 기하던 상황이었는데, ‘골든크로스’ 출연이 확정된 것처럼 기사화돼 난감한 상황을 맞기도 했다.
‘골든크로스’의 제작진은 “박시후의 한류스타로서의 스타성과, 그간 작품에서 보여준 뛰어난 연기력에 대해 기대를 가지고 긍정적으로 캐스팅 관련 논의를 했지만, 스케쥴 조율이 쉽지 않았다. 출연을 정중히 고사한 박시후의 의견을 존중해, 최종적으로 출연 논의를 마무리짓게 됐다”고 설명했다.
박시후의 소속사 역시 “좋은 작품으로 돌아와 팬들의 사랑에 보답하겠다는 마음이다. 애정을 갖고 지켜봐주시고, 기다려주셔서 감사하다”고 밝혔다.
한편 박시후는 27일 드라마 ‘청담동 앨리스’ 일본 프로모션 차 한국을 방문한 12곳의 일본 매체와 릴레이 인터뷰를 진행하는 등 한류 스타로서 식지 않는 인기를 보여줬다.
또 3월부터는 최근 촬영을 마친 중국 영화 ‘향기’의 홍보 일정을 소화하고, 4월에는 중국 광고 촬영을 비롯한 각종 시상식과 프로모션 참여로 바쁜 스케줄을 소화할 예정이다.
한 한류 관계자는 “박시후가 그간 ‘드라마 흥행 불패’ 저력을 보여줬다. ‘역전의 여왕’ ‘일지매’ ‘공주의 남자’ ‘검사 프린세스’ ‘청담동 앨리스’ 등에 이르기까지 출연작마다 모두 대박 흥행을 터뜨렸다. 이 때문에 아시아권에서 팬들의 충성도가 대단하고 1년여간의 휴지기가 있었지만 오히려 더욱 인기가 더욱 뜨거워지고 있다. 합작 영화 및 드라마 출연 제의도 많고 국내 드라마 제작사들 역시 박시후를 캐스팅하기 위해 물밑 경쟁을 치열하게 하고 있다. 그래서 박시후 복귀 관련 이야기들이 확정되지도 않았는데 자꾸 수면에 떠오르는 것 같다”고 밝혔다.
